Spring Hill part of transfer articulation agreement with Alabama's community colleges
June 30, 2010
Mobile, Ala. – Spring Hill College has entered into a transfer articulation agreement with the Alabama Community Colleges System designed to allow students at two-year colleges to transfer to bachelor’s degree programs at four-year independent colleges and universities.
A new Transfer Guide/Agreement will direct students through their first two years of coursework to assure earned credits are transferable and will give them the information they need in preparation for transfer to Spring Hill or any of the other Alabama Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (AAICU) member institutions.
Community college students in Alabama can already transfer their earned credits to any of the state’s public four-year campuses.
“Spring Hill College is pleased to be a member of the AAICU and we are happy to participate in this articulation agreement,” said Spring Hill president Rev. Richard P. Salmi, S.J. “This agreement will benefit the hundreds of students in Alabama’s community colleges in making the transition to a four-year independent college like Spring Hill. Students who desire to come to Spring Hill College from the community colleges will find it much easier to do so thanks to this articulation agreement.”
